The MW912BK black built-in microwave from Advent Air has 0.9 cubic feet of space with 900 watts of cooking power. It features one-touch controls to easily set the digital clock. Six preset one-touch settings allow you to simply cook such items as popcorn, pizza or frozen foods. The 10 different power levels make boiling, reheating or defrosting foods much easier. A glass turntable ensures that food is evenly cooked.
This microwave is able to handle a number of different cooking materials. Such items as browning dishes and glass or glass-ceramic cookware is most commonly recommended for use, although paper dishes, microwaveable plastic wrap and paper towels can be used for short term cooking. Aluminum foil should only be used on a limited basis. Plastics or ceramics should only be used if they are microwave safe.
Other types of materials including metal, Styrofoam plastic and other types of glass are not advised for use. Glass jars and bottles that are not intended for microwave use have the potential to shatter, while Styrofoam and non-microwaveable plastic can melt. Metals and paper bags (except for popcorn bags) have the potential to ignite and/or damage the oven. Dishes that are not microwave safe also become very hot after about 30 seconds.
